Unlikely Musical Collaborations
A song collaboration by artists that are not likely to perform together.
The collaboration can be vocal and/or instrumental.
Artists can be groups/bands, female, male and LGBTQIA+.
No specific genre as this has to be an unlikely collaboration.
An example of an unlikely collaboration is the song Cold Heart by Elton John and Dua Lipa.

Elvis Presley, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – Just Pretend
I’m so grateful for the wonders that technology has unlocked – in particular recording technology, the bring us the most fabulous music.
Between 2015 and 2017, much of the original music of Elvis had the backing music and vocals removed, and that magnificent voice paired with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It was an unthinkable collaboration for those that grew up with the king’s music.
But it works beautifully. If you like it, it’s all available on YouTube – just search for ‘Elvis Royal Philharmonic’
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Here’s the King singing Just Pretend.

Armin van Buuren & The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra perform for new Dutch king Willem-Alexander
Again, a theme that took me on a wonderful tour of YouTube and the amazing and talented people out there. Wow, so many choices – good and bad! PS look out for my bonus song at the end of this round bwahahaha
When I saw this clip I was wondering whether it was a collab worth utilising. Then after playing it a few times I knew it was my song – I would never have thought this would work. But for me it kinda does
The event is also a special one. So it’s more than just an artist collab, but also a country in celebration.
Enjoy the Pereia’s favourite artist, who just happens to be well-liked by Sue and Rod too.!
PS you can watch till 8min or watch the whole thing…

The Notorious B.I.G. & James Brown – Big Poppa’s Got A Brand New Bag
Notorious B.I.G., Biggie Smalls, or simply Biggie, was an American rapper and songwriter. Rooted in “gangsta rap”, he is widely considered one of the greatest rappers of all time and my boy Jayden would agree. I struggle to decide between Biggy and Tupac, both of whom were murdered within 6 months of each other, via drive-by shootings.
I was amazed to see the rap legend paired with another legend: the originator of funk music, James Brown and was enthralled. Please forgive Biggie’s expletives and enjoy a whole new sound …

An Unlikely Music collaboration.
Sting, British rocker and Shaggy, Jamaican-American reggae artist have such unique voices individually. They collaborated to produce 1 Single song. The song was a great success and appeared on 1 chart for 6 weeks. They enjoyed working together, recorded a great album and then toured together.
Watch this great entertaining song “Don’t Make Me Wait” on your big screen and enjoy the lyrics as well.
