This song is either about tradesmen or the tools they use.  Tradesman (not gender-specific) and could be a plumber, carpenter, painter, welder, builder – and many more.  The tools they use could be hammers, spanners, chisels, ladders, brushes, nails, screws – and many more.

Arno

Working men leaving for employment in a foreign country.

Kevin

Truly a master of the guitar. Tommy Emmanuel – my guitar hero.

Chrisna

In my opinion, Freddy Mercury is the best frontman of all time.

I mentioned that my song was PG-rated. Now, I did not mean it to be a Parental Guidance parameter, but rather a clue to the artist who sings the song.
However, as curious as what I was, I quickly went to see what the song was about afterwards.

Now, if you guys go to the website, you can read what I wrote on my “Intro”.

One of the key paragraphs was “… Now understand something upfront – music has never been a strong point of mine …”, and I went on to explain why.

Now imagine this – me looking up the song and artist on the SONGFACTS page. The face I made when I started reading up on what this song was about, must have been priceless. It literally made me crack up with laughter, due to pure, innocent ignorance.

I’m not saying any more, you’re going to have to google it yourselves.

All I can say is WOW – I HAD NO IDEA AND I’M LEARNING SO MUCH! Bwahahahahaha

Flanders and Swan: “The Gas Man Cometh” These two British entertainers did many live and radio performances in many countries to great acclaim. This song is just a bit of fun about tradesmen. It was recorded in the 1950’s I think. So sorry that there are no visuals but the words should give you a giggle on a Saturday evening. Enjoy.❤

Dear musos, in love there comes a time when it’s over. No if, but or maybe. Time to make a definitive statement. No going back. When its that time, you need a chainsaw.

Deborah

The most valuable trade of all……. hairdressing. For so many reasons 😉

Richard

My grandfather was a Geordie from Newcastle who tried his luck in Canada before the great war. I still have his double-headed axe which inspired me as a boy to become a lumberjack. I’m glad I didn’t because I don’t look good in fishnet stockings. Here is some comic relief from Monty Python – look out for John Cleese

Zosia

The very best of Pink Floyd

Lynda

This song is about a very famous painter/artist! Sure you all know it! Enjoy.

A chill song for this Friday afternoon by the Danish band Laid Back. It is about the trials and tribulations of a baker. Getting up early, working late, but at the same time providing so much joy to so many. It is a deep and moving piece of music.
So, cool down and take it easy…

In an interview with the band, this is what they had to say about the meaning of the song:

Tim, who is in charge of all the grooves, had made a bold number, but there was a lack of text.
“I came up with it while we were recording,” says John. “And the only thing that is put on afterwards is Hanne Boel who fills the gaps where I just couldn’t think of anything to sing”.
The famous words that no one can sing along to are: “Sagabona kunjani…”. It’s swahili and means “Hello, how are you?”

I realize that no matter how diverse our music choices are, I had never come across someone’s Bollywood choice yet… although the music isn’t as profound as in many other choices available, in this particular choice, I found the dancing charming

Karen

My official entry and closure for this interesting theme…

Karen

And here’s one of our fun finds. Enjoy. 🤣🤣😜

Paul – Bonus

Now that the theme is over and nobody chose the Ahhhh-no rated song, here it is, as I mentioned. Lots and lots of power tools …..
