“Can’t Stop The Feeling!” Official Movie Clip | TROLLS

The song was written and produced by Timberlake, Max Martin and Shellback. Musically, it’s an uptempo Disco Pop, Soul Pop song with Funk influences. It was released as a single on May 6, 2016, and reached contemporary hit radio on May 10 of the same year. Timberlake gave his first televised performance of “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” during the interval act of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 grand final. Directed by Mark Romanek, its music video was released on May 16, 2016, and follows Timberlake on a tour to everyday places as he dances through what a typical day might be; it was followed by a number of fanmade videos.
In the movie, Princess Poppy and Branch sing this song in the climax, after explaining to the Bergens that they don’t need to eat the Trolls to feel happy; it’s entirely possible to be happy without a supplement. Chef tried to reassure the Bergens that eating a Troll was the only way to feel happiness, and as the song progresses she attempts to attack the Trolls, only for them and Bridget to jointly stop her. She’s sent out of Bergen Castle at great speed, taking the Troll Creek, a traitor to his people, with her. The Bergens and Trolls continue to dance through the streets of Bergen Town, and the movie ends with Poppy being crowned Queen of the Trolls

Rainbow- Ballerina

My song tonight is performed by Liz Huett from the movie Ballerina – it’s called Rainbow. Liz worked behind the scenes in the music industry, earning her big break singing on Taylor Swift’s 2010 album. Ballerina is about 2 best friends that escape from a rural orphanage to Paris. Felicie dreams of becoming a ballerina.

Friends on the Other Side – Princess and the Frog

Going with a villain, none of this happy stuff that has been doing the rounds.

Friends on the Other Side is performed by Keith David as Dr. Facilier, as he lures Prince Naveen and his valet Lawrence into a deal that climaxes with Naveen transforming into a frog. (Thankfully we don’t see this in the clip)

But basically, the same old story of the quick fix for one’s woes and troubles, and that it is never a good idea.

The Jungle Book – I wanna be like you

Louis Prima was an Italian American singer, songwriter and bandleader. In his era, he was known as the king of swing. Enjoy this fine performance from Disney’s jungle book 1967. It made me feel younger somehow.

The Muppet Movie – I Hope That Somethin’ Better Comes Along

It’s late and lonely when you shuffle into the bar lounge. The barman, gently tickling the ivories, bids you hello. A friendly voice, and opportunity to share a caring ear. Turns out, his story is your story. Sometimes, it is a man story. Just saying.

This wonderful duet is from the 1979 Muppet Movie and was only included in the UK version of the movie. Both Kermit and Rowlf are sung by the talented and creative late Jim Henson. Jim was also the creator of the Muppets.

Jessica Rabbit Why Don’t You Do Right

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was one of the first films that combined cartoon characters and people In the same script. Set in a 1947 setting PI Valiant is hired to investigate rumours about Roger Rabbit’s attractive toon wife Jessica, being romantically involved with businessman Marvin Acme, owner of both Acme Corporation and Toontown. As an aside, I personally love Betty Boop too.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid: Poor Unfortunate Souls – Pat Carroll

Ursula the Sea Witch is American actress and singer Pat Carroll’s alter ego in The Little Mermaid.

Ursula uses the song “Poor Unfortunate Souls” to seduce Ariel into trading her voice for the chance to temporarily become human so that she can be with Prince Eric.

The things we do for love 🤷‍♀️

Linda Ronstadt & James Ingram – Somewhere Out There (1986)

This is one of my favourite songs by two special singers Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram. Such a beautiful movie: “An American Tale”
While Alan was doing his National Service we used to look up at Orions Belt, when it was visible, at 8 every evening wherever we were and send loving thoughts to each other. So this song has deep sentiment for me.

Both versions are beautiful.
