A Night at the Movies
Dear Musos, our theme for the music evening of 20 July celebrates what is (sadly) fast becoming a bygone era – A Night at the Movies.
I have so many very special memories of nights at the bioscope, cinema, and drive-in, with family, friends and, of course, girlfriends.
CHOICE 1: MY FAVOURITE MOVIE SONG. Your first choice is simple – any song that appeared in a movie. It doesn’t specifically have to be the theme song, but that would be nice. It doesn’t specifically have to be the original soundtrack, but that too, would be nice.
CHOICE 2: MY FAVOURITE MOVIE DANCE SCENE. Your second choice requires a bit more work, but not much. It is your favourite dance scene from any movie, regardless of when the movie was made (please note: not from a TV series, reality show, dance-off competition, etc).
Please come prepared to share a favourite memory of your night at the movies, and why you chose your specific songs.
