Anyway, the fabulous Rick Astley was #4 on the charts when I turned 21 in 88. What fun we had. You can see by the party photos. I used Errol’s amazing software to enhance the old photos and to colourise them. The AI messes some details up in the process, don’t let that bother you.
Rickrolling someone was all the rage back in the early 2000s.
“Rickrolled” is an internet prank where someone is tricked into watching Rick Astley’s 1987 music video for “Never Gonna Give You Up” through a disguised hyperlink, often baiting-and-switching the user into clicking something seemingly relevant but actually leading to the song. It’s a classic bait-and-switch meme, a form of trolling, that became a massive online phenomenon.
