The Sound Of Style
FASHION & CLOTHING (and other stufffffffffff)…
This time we’re stepping onto the runway of music! Our theme celebrates everything stylish, wearable, and iconic. Think songs about jeans, hats, shoes, jewelry, or even famous brands like Adidas, Nike, Armani. You can go high fashion with magazines like “Vogue,”, keep it casual with shirts and sneakers, or anything in between. A feather boa will even be considered (that was requested by a friend in the audience … ).
If it’s about fashion, clothing, or accessories — it fits the theme. So dust off your playlists and let your imagination dress the part! 🎵👠

Taco – Puttin’ On The Ritz
The expression “to put on the Ritz” emerged in slang before Irving Berlin’s wrote the song ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’ in 1927.
It means to dress in a very fashionable, elegant, or expensive manner, indicating wealth and sophistication, drawing inspiration from César Ritz’s lavish hotels.
The song gained further fame through its inclusion in movies, such as the 1946 film Blue Skies, and a popular 1982 cover and music video by Taco, which is my song choice tonight.

Almost chose Iconic Madonna. Then thought of Jackson. Then Lady Gaga, Britney, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and then we watched a series called Vigil and that song was 🤯
Played the song on YouTube and Wowie, the fashion!
Was wondering how those people lived like that. Pants, jackets, hats, ladies with probably 5 layers of stuff. All dark colours. Walking everywhere in what must have been the most uncomfortable shoes.
Ok rambling.
Enjoy!
