My wish for Christmas is more about a dream of living into our full potential….

This song was originally written and recorded by Suicide under the title of “Keep Your Dreams,” for their 1977 debut EP. The electronic protopunk duo remade the dark, electronic tune two years later under the title of “Keep Your Dreams,” and released as a non album single. It found a fan in Springsteen, who transformed it into a warmer and more optimistic version, which he performed a solo keyboard version to close the concerts on his 2005 Devils & Dust tour.
The track later resurfaced as the soundtrack to a video released in October 2013 as a thank you to Springsteen’s fans for supporting the 2012 and 2013 Wrecking Ball tour and then was included on his 2014 High Hopes album.

First choice taken – happens!
I had a 2nd choice but wasn’t convinced about it.
Earlier today something told me to continue my search, and so glad I did.
Something in the video grabbed my attention, so I looked at the video again. Suspicions confirmed – It was SA Rands changing hands. Watched the rest of the video and it seems this famous band’s video was recorded in SA.
“…The video was shot on location in London, Cape Town, the Klein Karoo in the Western Cape and Johannesburg. The zoo that Martin escapes from is Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. The bike shop shown is Woodstock Cycleworks in Woodstock, Cape Town…”
Who knew!
