Sara Bareilles – King of Anything

CARYS – Princesses Don’t Cry
This is not my usual choice of song. However, I am tired of hearing how hard done by Megan Markle believes she has been treated. She must have known what she was letting herself on for. This is my message to her.

Queen Of The House – Jody Miller
In 1965, the very successful US country and western star had a number 1 hit with King of the Road. I hope all of you recognize the distinctive tune and beat. A few months later, Judy Miller (no relation) brought out a tongue in cheek reply to Roger’s song – Queen of the House. Naughty for the time you’ll agree, but it was very popular too and became well known at live shows of The Supremes. Enjoy!
That very successful CW star was Roger Miller…

Adam & The Ants – Kings of the Wild Frontier
Adam and the Ants were part of the burgeoning punk rock movement in the early ’80s and the way Adam (aka Stuart Goddard, not quite as exotic) dressed and made his face up was fresh and novel at the time.
This song was first released in July 1980 and peaked at number 48 in the UK Singles Chart. It was re-released in February 1981 and reached number 2. Great memories. Enjoy “Kings of the Wild Frontier”.
“Kings of the Wild Frontier” was the first 7″ single by Adam and the Ants to feature the two-drummer Burundi beat for which the band became famous.

Chris de Burgh – The Tower
How we cannot see the beauty in things sometimes, regardless of our stature in society. In the end, we are all just flawed humans, and that is what makes us human, of course.
Here is a song about a great lord that could never have what he really wanted as he was blind to the message.
Zosia
Cher – Dark Lady
From the goddess of pop who is the fortune queen of New Orleans and she dealt two cards, a queen and a three.
Sarah
Ava Max – Kings & Queens
I’m going to be driving at 5 pm so I am sending my song early…
I want to thank you all so far for not choosing my song 🤣👌🏻
I love this song! I heard somewhere that it’s aimed at single mothers…
Enjoy! đź‘‘

The Lion King – I Just Can’t Wait To Be King
When my children were little this was their favourite movie, they watched this movie so often that the tape in the Video stretched.

A Transport of Delight – Michael Flanders and Donald Swann
Flanders and Swann were a British comedy duo. Lyricist, actor and singer Michael Flanders (1922–1975) and composer and pianist Donald Swann (1923–1994) collaborated in writing and performing comic songs. They first worked together in a school revue in 1939 and eventually wrote more than 100 comic songs together.
“A Transport of Delight”— a parosy with an increasing refrain about the “Big six-wheeler, scarlet-painted, London Transport, diesel-engined, ninety-seven–horse-power omnibus”.

Coldplay – Princess Of China ft. Rihanna

Prince of Peace – of Dirt and Grace – Hillsong UNITED
This song speaks of my awesome Jesus, the Prince of Peace, that is as close to me as my breath. He’s always been there for me, despite my flaws, my anxiety and my anger. He’s seen me through every hardship in my life and despite the times I’ve rejected Him, His love has never failed me. I’m still discovering more and more of how awesome He is and I’m ever grateful that when I had come to the end of myself and screamed into the air “Don’t you even care!” He met me there with such love and grace, that my life was forever changed. A long journey yes, a long time to trust Him and His kindness instead of wrath … not what “Religion” taught, this nasty God out to get us, that I hated… but this wonderful loving being, that gave up His life and was tortured for me, so that if I should choose Him, I could live in the ever after with Him and His goodness. All it took was for me to change my mind about Him and open my eyes to who He really is. Grateful!
