Wednesday: ‘Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (I Love You)’ – Emma-Louise Birdsall
“Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I Love You” by Emma Louise Birdsall.
She is an Australian singer/songwriter who was placed 16th in The Voice Australia. She lives in Sydney. She was signed with Island Records Australia under the Universal Music Group and her debut album was released in 2016
This is an unusual version but I found it by chance and loved it. Real old fashioned glamour and dance hall rhythm.

Thursday: Jess Glynne – Thursday
My song is by Jesse Glynne, an English singer and songwriter. In 2018 she became the first woman to achieve 6 number 1 hits on the UK charts, 5 of which came from her debut album.

Friday: Bing Crosby – “Dear Hearts and Gentle People”
When I was seven or eight years old this song was one of my favourites. A Bing Crosby classic. This song is so much like the lovely town we now live in where the good book is read from Friday to Monday – that’s how the weekend goes. We however include a glass of wine.

Tuesday: Lynyrd Skynyrd – Tuesday’s Gone
Tuesday song time…
I am not going with a Japanese artist this time, instead, some Country & Western stuff (We all love that)
Like “Ruby Tuesday” by the Stones, this song is also about a girl called Tuesday. He is leaving the love of his life behind.
As the lyrics go: “She had to be free”. One can only wonder what fate had become her. (Now that is real C&W stuff)
The train he is referring to is perhaps his will to keep going on in life no matter how depressed he is. (More C&W)
Regardless, a masterpiece by a truly magnificent band.

Wednesday: The Wednesday Dance
I have always loved the Addams Family characters. This clip is taken from The Addams Family TV show which aired between September 1964 and April 1966.
In this episode “Lurch’s Grand Romance”, Morticia’s school chum Ms Trivia comes to visit. Lurch falls head over heels for her and Wednesday decides to teach him how to dance (in case Ms Trivia is a swinger).
(Which just goes to show how much language can change in a few short years.)

Thursday: Dikke Jonko Donderdag
So I have to say … I listened to SOOO many Thursday songs and I really didn’t enjoy them. Jess Glynne’s song stays my absolute favourite (thanks Chrisna). So after trolling and trolling, I thought I’d add a funny one, that one can’t listen to for tooo long, and then add my actual song for the day, which I found fairly “ok” but nothing to write home about. So herewith I submit my humble offering …

One of the best all-time blues guitarist preferring to avoid the limelight. JJ Cale with Friday

Monday: The Mamas & The Papas – Monday Monday
Hello musos! My song this evening shows my age and also provides a reason why I forgot it’s my day. Thankfully, my standby memory (Wilfred) was there to get me on track.
I love all the music from this band. I’m sure Paul’s grandparents must have told him about them. 😁

Tuesday: Moody Blues – Tuesday Afternoon ( Bubblerock Promo )
Here’s my Tuesday song! This symphonic rock band was formed in Birmingham (UK) in 1964. Tuesday Afternoon was released in 1967.
