Hello Musos! I had a theme planned, but have forgotten what it was… 😱

No wait, it’s back again. The theme is AGE. Anything to do with the age of people. Birthdays, getting older, youth, etc. The song can’t just mention an age, it must be about age. Go figure.

This song was released in 1961 by the Kingston Trio and thereafter covered by many others like Frank Sinatra, Seal etc. I chose Robbie Williams. Enjoy.

My song today is a simple reminder about how precious life is and how we should treasure every moment.🌻 This is also one of my favorite groups.

Sue

Just because this reminds me of my youth. I was a little older than “just seventeen”

This is The Beatles’ first Ed Sullivan Show and also their first appearance on The US television which was aired on February 9th 1964. Seventy-three million people were reported to have watched this show which supposed to be one of the largest viewing audiences ever in the States. This song “I Saw Her Standing There” is the 4th number of the show.

A bit of silly fun from 1953 šŸ˜Ž

In the end, I opted for a more fantastical angle on age, or in this case, agelessness or immortality.
This cover of the fantastic Freddie song is by a Victorian Vampire boyband šŸ™‚
The story is of the sorrow of the vampire, finally understanding that without his true love, there was no longer anything left.
For living on forever was no longer what he wanted. So into the light he went, to his beloved.
To be set free.
All sin is forgiven and forgotten.

My song today is about love for a thousand years, and then again for a thousand more. It is beautifully crafted and delivered. On YouTube I read a comment that said ā€œI don’t know how people can come up with such beautiful words. Thank God they do.ā€ I concur.
