Town or City (by name). So the name of the town or city must appear in the song.

British pop group Paper Lace had their only hit in America with 1974’s.
The Night Chicago Died” is about a shoot-out between theChicago Police and gangsters tied to Al Capone. It was inspired by the real-life Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre, although that involved Capone’s men killing seven of Bugs Moran’s gang members and had nothing to do with the police.
Errol
My most favourite Afrikaans song. Loads of memories here.
Arno
Lots of towns

I don’t really speak forren, but I loved Johannes Kerkorrel. This song is for Adri too… she and I both brought this same song to a music evening once 😊
Wilfred
The song is about the early death of Dani, a poor, young Southern girl who eventually lived in California, became a mother and lived a hard, fast, unsettled life.
Dani first appeared in the 1999 song “Californication”, which includes the lyrics “Teenage bride with a baby inside/Gettin’ high on information” although the girl’s name is not specified. She was next mentioned in the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2002 single “By the Way” as “Dani the girl”.

Liezel – Bonus Track
I found myself particularly torn on this theme, so I’m going to start with a bonus track. Especially since I made everyone wait for my last submission. An artist I came across only just yesterday and have found that the way she customises covers to be really awesome and then found out that this Norwegian Artist has recorded 8 albums already
Liezel – Introduction
So this is the song I immediately thought of when we were talking about places … Not his best performance of the song, but I love the story behind how it was written …
Liezel – Main
Best version of the song is below: So hear the story and switch to the proper song …
A special note from Karen
Spoiler alert for an emotional post….
I really want to thank each of you for your contribution on this group. Your fun posts and the awesome music has been one of the few things that has kept me sane during some very long and difficult days. I’m guaranteed a giggle or two at the group banter and specially come back when things start to overwhelm me.
Thank you for your special friendships. 💕💕💕💕🍷🍷🍷

So after a long (very musical) band introduction, the song actually starts at 4:29 if anyone is pressed for time.
Sue
Ending off this theme with a bang 💣
Enjoy!
